We are looking for a COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST  (PACKAGING) to work with our amazing Post-Harvest team, ensuring we are producing the highest quality of cannabis.

Responsibilities would include:

• Read and follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and company policies.
• Follow specific instructions from the Post Harvest Manager.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance Person.
• Effectively lead and supervise Post Harvest Technicians from a Quality perspective.
• Responsible for the completion of reporting within cannabis seed-to-sale software (ElevatedSignals).
• Responsible for recording of in-process data for internal reporting purposes.
• Ensure the room is clean and ready for sorting/packaging.
• Set up sorting table grates (Verify grate size for each slot).
• Check with Post Harvest Manager for next lot to be sorted/packaged.
• Work with the team to get sorting/packaging started and ensure Packaging Team knows the quality expectations.
• During spare time, help sort product.
• After the bag is weighed to approximate weight, heat seal, place it in a bin and label bin according to size (S,M,L,XL) and Lot #.
• Take bins to vault and place on designated rack.
• Promote and maintain product quality by performing all tasks accurately and thoroughly.
• Work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity.
• Perform all other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• ‍‍Experience in training others on Standard Operating Procedures.  
• Attention to detail is required, and experience managing data.  
• Previous experience in Quality Assurance/Control in a production environment is an asset.  
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered a strong asset.
• Previous cannabis industry experience is an asset.
• Superb organizational and time management abilities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Extended periods of sitting or standing are required.

Position:  

• Overtime is required during peak times and to meet deadlines
• Salary: $43,680 annually.
