The Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) has released "Ontario Cannabis Marketplace: By the Numbers," a new report offering insightful data on the growth and progress of Ontario’s legal cannabis industry. Key highlights from 2023 include:

  • Consumer access to legal cannabis expanded with 80 new Authorized Cannabis Stores, bringing the total to 353 participating municipalities across Ontario.
  • These stores sold over 338 million grams of cannabis, marking a 23.3% YoY increase, valued at over $1.9 billion, a 12.1% YoY increase.
  • The OCS introduced over 1,000 unique products from Canadian Licensed Producers to its catalogue of tested and traceable recreational cannabis products.

Looking ahead, OCS plans to update and publish "Ontario Cannabis Marketplace: By the Numbers" biannually.
